Floyde Brock Anthony Firstley entered into eternal rest at Tulane Medical Center on Friday, March 4, 2022, at the age of 57. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Floyde was educated in Orleans Parish School System. He was employed by several companies in New Orleans, LA and Copperas Cove, TX area providing furniture upholstery and restoration services. Loving father of the late Brittany Fox. Beloved son of Barbara G. Firstley Cavalier and the late Donald Firstley. Bonus father of the late Andrew Cavalier. Brother of Troy Firstley, and Brian (Anna) Firstley of Mesquite, Tx. Grandson of the late Harry Gaines, Sr., and Annie Mae Brown Gaines. Step-grandson of Harriet Gaines. Nephew of Sterling (Laverne) Gaines, Harry (Eunice) Gaines, Jr., Effie Gaines, Denise (Royal, Jr.) Bellock, Contrella Norman, Melinda Hill, Sylvia Gaines, Tammy LeBlanc, and the late Larry Gaines, Stanley Gaines, and Phyllis Campbell. Counselor and friend of Ms. Tiba Hankton, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, neighboring churches, and employees of Odyssey House LA are invited to attend the Graveside Service at Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery & Mausoleum, 9820 Nine Mile Point Rd.
