FLORENCE ALLEN ROBERTSON

Florence Robertson went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the age of 90. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Florence was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School. She was a retired housekeeper with Mary Joseph Nursing Home after 20 years of service. Beloved wife of the late Alvin Robertson, Sr. Devoted mother of Alvin (the late Annie) Robertson, Jr., Jeffery (Dwan) Robertson, Claudette Robertson, Dwayne (Brenda) Robertson, and the late Clinton Robertson, and Claude (Velda) Robertson, Sr. Grandmother of Tracheal (Corey) Brown, Michael (Phylicia) Robertson, Talmage Atkins, James Perkins, Jeremy Butler, Carlette (Ron) White, Kenla (Willie) Robertson, Claude (Chelsea) Robertson, Jr., Dejoni (Djimon) Freelow, and the late Jeffrey. Step grandmother of Rhonda Hankerson, Kimberlee (Harold) Jackson, Phillip (Tiffany) Hankerson, and Tirza (Tyrone) Motley. Daughter of the late Joseph Allen, Sr. and Evelina Cole. Sister of the late Joseph Allen, Jr., Hebert Allen, Virginia Mitchell, Mille Stewart, Velma Jones, Dorothy Birdlow, Delores Thompson, and Evelina Allen. Longtime friend of Sarah Brooks, and Joann Simmons, also survived by 13 great grandchildren, 15 step great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, officers, and members of New Hope Baptist Church, and neighboring are invited to a Celebration of Life at New Hope Baptist Church, 434 7th St. Gretna, LA on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Warren Johnson officiating.
