EZELL WILLIAMS

Ezell Williams, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. He was a native of Sicily Island, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Ezell retired from Avondale Shipyards after 30 years of service. After retirement he enjoyed many years in lawncare and landscaping. Beloved husband of Evelyn Williams. Devoted father of Jonathan (Fiancée Abriel) Williams, Troy (Keyetta) Williams, Dana Van Buren, and the late Yvette Williams. Loving grandfather of Jalen, Ahmad, Amaja, Jalon, Jonathan Jr., Anaya, Jacoby, Keyon, Toya, Ashley, and Troy. Son of the late Earl, Sr. and Mary Fletcher Williams. Brother of Queen Mouton, Velma (Robert) Wilson of Mt. Morris, MI, Carrie Lee (Clyde) Tolliver of Saginaw, MI, Mary (Jack) Henry, Robin Williams, Jennie Williams, Ada (Dewayne) Smith, Ray (Bertha) Williams all of Las Vegas, NV, Jake Williams of Flint, MI, George (Dorothy) Williams of Saginaw, MI,  Cleveland Williams, and the late Earl Williams, Jr., Margaret Hunter, and Blanche Williams. Brother-in-law of Theresa Rhodes of Thibodaux, LA, and the late Andre Leonard Van Buren and Roland Smith. Ezell is also survived by his dog Ziggy, his granddog Charlotte, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  The family extends special thanks to Dr. Trent Davidge and Dr. Thomas Fox of University Medical Center for their attentive care.
