EVELYN ELVERA JORDAN

Evelyn Elvera Jordan peacefully entered eternal rest at her residence on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the age of 89. She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Marrero, LA. “Wilma”, as she was affectionately known to her family and “Vera” to her friends was a loving wife and devoted mother who created a home filled with warmth, strength, and enduring love. Beloved wife of the late Wille Jordan, Sr. Loving mother of Darria Wooden (Allen), Willie H. Jordan, Jr. (Judy), Grenita, Yolanda Carr (Johnny), Byron, Sr., Mary, Michael, Demery, Monica, LaDuan, Sr. (Richshalyn) Juanara Jordan-Williams (Michael), and Quiana. Grandmother of the late Metoya Jordan, Robert Curtis, Jr., Sebastian Henry, Jeremy Green, and LaDuan Jordan, Jr. Daughter of the late James Adams, Sr. and Bishop Inez Adams. Sister of Estelle Bolden, Mary Bramlett, Sandra Sullen (Arthur), Samuel Adams (Iva), and the late James Adams, Jr. Daughter in law of the late Willie H. Jordan and Lucille Bolden. Sister in law of the late John W. “Bram” Bramlett. Sister in love Jean Wickem. Godmother of Yolanda Dorsey, also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mount Calvary International Worship Center, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Mount Calvary International Worship Center, 1600 Westwood Drive, Marrero, LA on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Apostle Terry Gullage, officiating.
