Eunice Raymond, Sr. entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the age of 93. God saw that he was tired, so He put his arms around him and whispered, “Come with Me.” He was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Eunice served as a Merchant Marine for over 30 years, and he served the U.S. military during World War II thus earning him military honors. He later worked as a Longshoreman Foreman on the Riverfront. Beloved husband of the late Dauphine W. Raymond. Devoted father of Eunice Raymond Jr., Gilda Marshall, the late Cedrick Raymond, Drean Denson and Ted E. Raymond. Son of the late Ervan Raymond and Thelma LaBranche O’Neal. Brother of James and Willie (Betty) O’Neal and the late Rosemary and John O’Neal. Cherished father-in law of Joseph Marshall Sr., Willie Mae Raymond, and Semaj Allen-Raymond, also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 6851 River Rd. Waggaman, LA on Saturday, November 20th at 10:00A.M. Visitation will begin at 8:30A.M. Interment: Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
