Ethel Mary Joseph, age 96, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, January 27, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of the late Octave Anthony Joseph. Loving mother of Gary and Norman Joseph, Cynthia Joseph Johnson, Gail Jones (Joseph), Lesia Callens, the late Jason Joseph and Lawrence Joseph. Mother-in-law of Gilda Joseph, and the late Kevin Callens, Sr. Devoted grandmother of Warlea, Brandi, Bianca, Danielle, Christopher, Michelle, Ashford, April, Varelle and the late Gary, Jr. Great-grandmother of Robert, Sean Jr., Jada, Noah, Gabriel, Emery, and Greyson. Daughter of the late Edward and Louise Saul. Sister of Edward (Augustine) Saul, Jr., and the late Harry, Elmond, Etienne, Eddie and Joseph Saul, Edith Bartholomew, and Edna Celestin. Godmother of Florestine Joseph, Colleen R. Joseph, and John Dumas. She is also survived by a host of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priests and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (Houston, Tx), Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (Vacherie, La.), pastors, officers, and members of BibleWay Church of God in Christ, faculty and staff of the Good Shepherd Mission School; employees Entergy Services, LLC, and Dow Chemical Co. are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Blvd, Marrero, LA, on Saturday February 4, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Father Sidney O. Speaks celebrant. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m., Recitation of the Rosary at 8:45a.m., Followed by a Tribute. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery- Avondale, LA.
