ERNESTINE JOHNSON

Ernestine Johnson, age 91, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 8:20 am. She was a native of Crystal Springs, MS and a resident of Gretna, LA. Ernestine was a retired dietician with F. Edward Hebert Hospital. Loving wife of the late Steve Johnson. Beloved mother of Charles Wilford (Hilda) Johnson, Rodney Johnson, Donna Johnson, and the late Joseph Larry Johnson, and Carolyn Ann Johnson. Daughter of the late Gertrude Jones. Grandmother of Joseph D. (Arnissa) Johnson, Charles W. (Pat) Johnson, II, Michael A. (Lyndeshia) Porter, and Dedrick Charles Johnson. Ernestine is also survived by a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at 2^nd New Pleasant Zion Baptist Church, 3329 4^th Street., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Interment: Will Be Private.
