ERNEST BLANCHE, JR.

Ernest Blanche, Jr. entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the age of 60. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident Harvey, LA. Ernest was a graduate of West Jefferson High School. He proudly served his country for 5 years in the United States Army. Ernest was employed with the USPS as a mail clerk and retired after 20 years of dedicated service. Beloved husband of Pamela Blanche. Devoted father of Brionnne Blanche-Buffin and Ernest Blanche III. Cherished grandfather of Jace Blanche, Prince Blanche, Audri Blanche, Christopher Buffin, Jr. and Blaire Buffin. Loving son of Ernest Blanche, Sr. and Shirley Blanche. Grandson of the late Edward and Lecester Blanche, Clinton and Beatrice Bradley. Brother of Jada Gullage, Terrance Blanche and Christopher Blanche. Father-in-law of Kia Blanche and Christopher Buffin, Sr. Son-in-law of Alvin and Barbara Broussard. Brother-in-law of Tawanna Blanche and Brandy Blanche; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Jerusalem Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 414 Westwego Avenue, Bridge City, LA on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Milton McQuarter, officiating.
