ERIC C. VEAL, SR.

Eric Chester Veal, Sr. transitioned peacefully into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the age of 67. He was a native of Bridge City, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Eric was a 1975 graduate of West Jefferson High School. He was a retired Welder, Contractor and Real Estate Investor. Beloved husband of Jannies Gatlin Veal. Devoted father of Quintrice Edwards, Erica Odoms, and Eric Veal, Jr. Loving grandfather of Ashley Edwards, Taylor Edwards, Hailey Edwards, Craig Stovall, Jr. and Eric Veal, Jr. Son of the late Ernest Jackson and Josephine Washington. Grandson of the late Joe and Estella Veal. Brother of Horace Washington, Sr., Charley Veal, Mark Veal, Betty Landix, Debbie Owens, and the late Nathaniel Washington, David Veal, Naomi and Carolyn Washington, and Hilda McClure. Grandfather-in-law of the late Lionel Washington. Also cherishing his memories are 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE STREET GRETNA, LA on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 11:00a.m.  Rev.
