ELLIOTT JAMES CLARK, SR.

Elliott James Clark, Sr. entered peacefully into eternal rest at his residence on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the age of 77. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Elliot was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served courageously as a paratrooper. After returning home, he gained employment as a first class welder, with Avondale Shipyard, Wall Shipyard, and Elmwood Shipyard. Devoted father of Delvin Baker, Elliot Clark, Jr., and Ashanti Magee; bonus father of Junior (Artisha) Downs. Son of the late Henry J. Clark and Aline Clark. Beloved brother of Jane Kelly, Mercedes Robinson, Lionel Clark, Sr., Donald Clark, Sr., Elgin Acker, and the late Ella Marie Warren, Barbara Ann Coleman, James Hogan, Sr., Hanry Clark, Jr., and Moses Clark. Loving fiancé and lifelong companion of Cynthia Downs; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Avenue, Marrero, LA on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
