ELLA CECELIA SANDERS

Ella Cecelia Sanders entered eternal rest at Slidell Memorial Hospital on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the age of 78. She was a native of Decatur, AL, former resident of New Orleans, LA and presently residing in Slidell, LA. Ella was a retired hairstylist. Devoted wife of the late Wayne Calvin Sanders, Sr. Beloved mother of Waynette Sanders, and the late Wayne C. Sanders, Jr., and Solomon S. Sanders. Daughter of the late Robert L. Love, Sr. and Helene Love. Sister of Christopher, Eddie, Bryant, Delores, and Cindy Love, Sandra Quick, Pamela Eaglin, and the late Irastine Keith, Belinda Love, Gilda Love, Donald Love, Robert L. Love, Jr., Rev. Charles Sanders, Rev. Derrick Sanders, Pratt Sanders, and Sandra Fay Hall. Aunt of the late Sgt. Chase Love and Alfred Keith. Ella is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, members of Fischer Community Church, First Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Fischer Community Church 1737 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the above named church.
