ELIZABETH GAINES WINGO

Elizabeth Gaines Wingo, age 81, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, July 5, 2026. She was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Elizabeth was a retired childcare attendant and cook. Beloved wife of the late the late Lloyd Simmons, Sr. by 1st marriage and James Wingo by 2nd marriage Devoted mother of Lloyd Simmons, Jr. Daughter of the late Frank Gaines and Pearl R. Gaines. Loving sister of Herbert Gaines, Willamena Gaither, Victoria Scott, Edith (Byron) Jupiter, and the late Melvin Roberson, Wilbert Gaines, and Janie Mae Smith. Sister-in-law of Evella Roberson, and the late Solon Scott, Sr., and Patricia Gaines. Also cherishing her memories are her devoted friend Aaron Walker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Ernest L.
