ELIZABETH DANIELS DAY

Elizabeth Daniels Day, age 91, transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on Friday, December 23, 2022. She was a native of Waterproof, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Elizabeth was a retired residential housekeeper. Loving mother of Willa Mae (Otha) Bradley, Johnnie Mae D. (Ivy Joe) Turner, Elizabeth Day, Napoleon, Jr., and Eugene Day, Sr., and the late Priscilla Jordan Plummer. Bonus mother of Ginger (Michael) Martin and Tony (Lynne) Benedetto. Daughter of the late Mingo Daniels, Sr. and Elizabeth Case Daniels. Sister of the late Mingo, Jr., Henry, Herman, Sam, David, Willie, and James Daniels, Dorothy Daniels, and Narcissa Daniels Moore. Former wife of the late Sim Jordan, Jr and Napoleon Day, Sr. She was preceded in death by 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren. Also cherishing her memories are 30 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Fischer Community Church, Second Zion Baptist Church, River of Life Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 4^th Street Westwego, LA on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Woodrow Hayden, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
