Edy Fernando Carias, Sr. departed this life at his residence on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at the age of 45. He was a native of Tegucigalpa, Honduras and a resident of Harvey, LA. Edy was a 1995 graduate of L. W. Higgins High School. He was employed as a manager for 25 years with Ali & Sons (Dandry’s) Food Store, until his health began to decline. He aspired to one day own his own trucking company, so he enrolled in Coastal Truck Driving School to obtain his CDL license. Edy will be remembered for his Sunday cookouts, love for riding on the lakefront and listening to music. Loving father of Gabriella Adriannah Carias and Edy Fernando Carias, Jr. Beloved son of the late Jorge Carias Zuniga and Delores Coello Carias. Brother of Norma Su Hernanndez, Geovanny Carias Coello, and the late Manuel Alberto Su Coello, and Jorge Antonio Carias. Godfather of Ma’Khai and Mah’Jesti. Devoted friend of Ahmad, Abdel, AJ, Munir, Nestor, Grayland, Micheal, Roy, Maverick, and Glen; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Westwego, Second Zion Baptist Church of Marrero, and all neighboring churches; employees of Costal Driving School; staff and students of Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School; members of the 46th Infantry of the United States Army are invited to attend a Viewing at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Celebration of Life will be held at the above named parlor on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m until service time.
