Edna Marie "Boley" Haynes Gross entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the age of 78. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Edna was a graduate of L.B. Landry High School. She was a retired private sitter. Loving wife of the late Melvin Gross. Beloved mother of Robert (Shalawn) Gross, Charlene Gross, Della Gross, and Ann Gross. Grandmother of the late Carlene Gross. Daughter of the late Norman Haynes, Sr., and Oris Emerson Haynes. Granddaughter of the late Julia Russ Emerson. Sister of Norma Haynes, Jr., Grace Ann Perry, Julie Singleton, Joyce (Kermit) Jones, and the late Enetta Brew, Iris Ezeb, Josephine Peart, and Louise Ford. Edna is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Austerlitz Baptist Church, Life Center Cathedral, Body of Christ, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Rev. Johnny Mosley officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor. Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
