EDITH LOUISE GORDON

Edith L. Gordon entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 78. She was a native of Clarksdale, MS and a resident of Gretna, LA. Edith was employed with the Holiday Inn for more than 46 years. She will be remembered as a humble and loving women whose greatest joy was her family. Her life was guided by Christian values, always extending love, compassion, and encouragement to those around her. Beloved wife of the late Richard Gordon, Sr. Loving mother of Mary “Linda” (Murphy) Knightshead, Richard L. Willis, and the late Lillie Gordon. Daughter of the late Cleveland Statum, Sr. and Modine Thomas. Sister of Jennie Turner. Edith is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Roosevelt Washington, officiating.
