DOROTHY MAE WYRE

Dorothy Mae Wyre entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the age of 91. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a residence of Avondale, LA. She was a graduate of Joseph S. Clark High School and a former employee with Maison Blanche as a retail clerk. Devoted mother of Daryl Wyre and Kevin Wyre. Daughter of the late Henry and Alberta Glapion. Sister of Ernevia Davis, Hilda Sparks, and the late Marion White, and Juanita Shae-Shae. Niece of the late Emily Petty, Lillian Marshall, and Sidonia Weber, also survived by 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Old Zion Missionary Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Greater Old Zion Missionary Baptist Church 655 N. Rocheblave St. New Orleans, LA on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service at the above named church. Interment: Buena Vista Cemetery - Lemonville, LA.
