DOROTHY HENSLEY

Dorothy Hensley, a retired housekeeper, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 29, 2021 at the age of 93. She was a native of St. James, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA.  Loving mother of Joseph Hensley, Ellen H. Weber, Leroy Hensley, Robert Hensley, Lois Hensley, and Gerald Ann Hensley. Daughter of the late Charles Smith, Sr. and Fannie Johnson. Sister of Shirley Joseph and the late Charles Smith, Jr., Lawrence Geason, Sr., Milton Geason, Alex Geason, Percy Geason, Theresa Steib, and Gloria Simmons. Dorothy is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 10867 River Rd. Ama, LA on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the church.   Interment: Mt.
