Dorothy Taylor

Dorothy Taylor entered eternal rest on Monday, March 7, 2022, at the age of 95. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Hampton, GA. Dorothy was graduate from St. Helena High School. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Taylor, Sr. Devoted mother of Arthur, Jr. (Laverne), Gregory (Sharon), Joyce (Willard) Clark, Douglas (Katherine), Lois (Anthony) Perrillat, Sheila (Tyrone) Catus, and the late Virginia Barbara, Lawrence Bobby, and Connie Annette. Stepmother of Preston (Laura) Taylor. Daughter of the late James A. Douglas, Sr. and Mary Alma Overton Douglas. Sister of the late Wilbert, James A., Jr., Fred, Floyd, Earl, Clara, Margarite, Ida Mae, Geraldine, Bernice, and Delores. A special thank you to her caregivers Emma Byrd, Ruby Holden, and Adele McCoy, also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Second St. John Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, LA. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Norman Francis Host Pastor/ Pastor Charlie Davis officiating.
