DORIS WASHINGTON LEBLANC

Doris Washington LeBlanc, age 90, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Doris attended Thomy Lafon School. She retired from K&B Drug Store after 30 years of service. She was a faithful member of Sunrise Baptist Church and a member of Pride of Gretna Chapter 60 Order of Eastern Star, Josephine Smith Court No. 1, Order of Cyrene, Cena Spencer Court No. 14 Heroines of Jericho, and Ruby E. Williams Phillips Auxiliary. Beloved wife of the late Octave LeBlanc. Devoted mother of Betty Smith and the late Billy Henderson. Loving grandmother Corey Henderson, Terrance Henderson, Kimberly Henderson, Keila Smith, and Trea Smith. Daughter of the late Edward Washington and Ida Mae Flowers. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 4 brothers. Also cherishing her memories are 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Sunrise Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Sunrise Baptist Church, 1325 Leboeuf St. Gretna, LA on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
