DONOVAN CHRISTOPHER JOHNSON

Donovan Christopher Johnson, Sr., an educator, departed this life at his residence on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the age of 24. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Donovan was a graduate of the University of Virginia and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Loving father of Donovan Christopher Johnson, Jr. Beloved son of Crystal Johnson and the late Marlon Turner, Sr. Stepson of Michael Phillips, Sr.  Grandson of L. C. Harris and the late Donna Johnson and Lana Turner. Great grandson of the late Eliza Harris. Devoted brother of Marlon’ara Donna Johnson, Mya Lawson, and Marlon Jermaine Turner, Jr. Cousin of the late Ronneisha Johnson. Donovan is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family and members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Norman Francis, host pastor; Pastor Natasha Williams Joseph of Good Word Fellowship, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Will Be Private.
