DION TERRY BONNER

Dion Terry Bonner, a retired Educator and Coach, departed this life on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the age of 59. He was a native of Bridge City, LA and a resident of Slidell, LA. Dion graduated from Southern University of New Orleans obtaining a Bachelor's of Science and a Master of Science degrees. While at SUNO he became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He was formerly employed with Inspire NOLA at McMain High School and McDonogh 35. Dion also taught at Warren Easton Sr. High School, Sophie B. Wright, and Esperanza Charter. He was an active member of Third Emanuel Baptist Church, where he co-chaired the Men’s Day Ministry. Loving father of Jasmine Bonner. Devoted grandfather of Cade Singleton. Beloved son of the late Mary Ann Bonner. Grandson of the late Ethel Bonner. Brother of Juan Anthony Bonner Trupania William Bonner, Travis Lavar Custard, Jermaine Custard, Wendell K. Chatman, Tyrell Chatman, Sr., and Danielle Michelle Bonner. Nephew of the late Leon Bonner. Dion is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Third Emanuel Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Third Emanuel Baptist Church, 187 Third Emanuel St. Bridge City, LA on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Joseph C. Dyson, Sr., officiating Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-9:50a.m. ONLY at the church.
