Diane Lewis Taplet entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Sunday January 16, 2022, at the age of 71. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Diane was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School Class of 1969, and she was employed with Orleans Parish School System as a custodian for over 30 years. Devoted wife of the late Albert Taplet. Beloved mother of Troy and Dwayne Brown, and the late Kedrick Brown. Daughter of the late Luke Jordan, Sr. and Geraldine Williams. Granddaughter of the late Ernest and Beaulah Jordan. Sister of Luke Jordan, Jr., Michael Lewis, Larry (Jessica), Kent (Jackie), and Andrew (Gail) Pointer, Veronica Lewis (Dwight), Phyllis (Rudolph), Pelrean, Gilda Lewis, Tressie (Anthony) Thomas, Cassandra Jackson, Constance Haynes, and the late Gail, Bobby, and Keith Lewis. Sister-in-law of the late Ingren Lewis, also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Watson Memorial Teaching Ministry and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Watson Memorial Teaching Ministry 1709 Casa Calvo St. New Orleans, LA. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 9:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. until service time at the above-named church.
