DESTINY TAMIA GEORGE

Destiny Tamia George, affectionately known as “Des”, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the age of 24. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Houston, TX. Destiny was a graduate of Northshore Senior High School in Houston, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. After graduation, Destiny attended San Jacinto Junior College. She was employed as a Security Supervisor with GardaWorld Security Corporation. Destiny had a larger-than-life personality that captivated the lives of everyone she encountered. She had a love for fashion, designer perfumes, purses and her K5. Beloved daughter of Tomeka Holmes and the late Damieon Lydell George, Sr. Loving sister of Ray’monte Holmes and Damieon (Suzanne) George, Jr. Devoted aunt of Saint George, Raeion, Raelynn, and Raeya Holmes. Granddaughter of Regina (Bruce) Letman, Rogenia George, Rosemary Williams, and the late Farrell Scott, Sr. Niece of the late Terrance George and Michael Scott. Godmother of Kho’uri Noel. Goddaughter of Doniesha Casimier. Godsister of Quantasia Roberts, Charish Green, and Charles Green III. Best friend of Deidrick “Tre” Cole, Grae Robertson, Brena Hunter, and Mariah Washington. Also cherishing her memories are 8 uncles, 4 aunts, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Second Bethlehem Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of GardaWorld Security Company, McDonalds, Wal-Mart, Amazon, Allied Universal Security, and Lyondell Basell Industries are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Norman Francis, host pastor; Pastor Travis George, officiating.
