Derrick Anthony Lemieux, Sr. departed this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the age 64. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Coonie, as he was affectionately called by family and friends was a retired master mechanic, roofer, and welder with Mackie Roofing Company for over 30 years. Devoted father of Derrick, Jr., Dedrick (Dominica), Anthony, and Angela Taylor, and the late Junious Lemieux. Son of the late Sherman and Rosemary Joseph Lemieux. Grandson of the late Junious and Frances Joseph, Herbert and Elizabeth Lemieux. Brother of Karen Favorite, Tracey (Steve) Turnage, Carla (Reginald) Simmons, Terri (Charles) LaSalle of McKinney, Tx, Sherman (Kathleen) Stewart, and the late Myra Frances, and Sherman Lemieux, Jr. Devoted friend of Pastor Juanita Jones. Childhood friend of Alvin Riley, Jr., also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of House of Judah Ministries and neighboring churches; employees of Mackie Roofing Company, Eagle Auto Glass, A&W Detailing, Jefferson Parish PMZ, Glenoaks Middle School, and Surgical Care Affiliate of Irving TX are invited to attend the funeral service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Ernest Weber officiating.
