DEBORAH RHEA WILLIAMS-THOMAS

Deborah Rhea “Nunnie” Williams-Thomas, age 78, passed peacefully in her sleep at home with her devoted niece Jerlinda and husband in Humble, TX on Thursday, April 23, 2026. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Humble, TX. Deborah was educated in the Orleans Parish School System and later gained employment with the school system as a Food Service Technician. After, many years of dedicated service, Deborah retired and became a Private Personal Caregiver. Devoted mother of the late Edwin Lee Thomas, Jr. and Michael Christopher Thomas. Loving grandmother of Edwin L. Thomas, III, Arianna L. Thomas, Devontay Rayfield, and Edmond A, (Shariann) Thomas. Great grandmother of Chosen Bolden, Sky Mims, Edwin Mims, E’ris Thomas, Delahni Thomas, Elanii Thomas, and Evyanna Thomas. Daughter of the late Theodore Author Williams and Eula Mae Burrell-Williams. Sister of the late Malenda Louise Williams-Bellazer. Aunt of Robert (Emmorey) Williams, Jerlinda (Joseph) Odum-Austin, III and Felisha Parker. Beloved companion of Edwin Lee Thomas, Sr. Also cherishing her memories are her goddaughter Largine Johnson (Rodney) Fobbs, 5 great nieces 1 great nephew, 3 great great nieces, 3 great great nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 11:00a.m. Rev. Aldon E. Cotton of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.
