DEBORAH JEAN ANDERSON

Deborah “Jean” Anderson departed this earthly life on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the age of 67. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Deborah was a graduate of O Perry Walker High School Class of 1977. Deborah was employed with Goodwill Industries, and she volunteered at McDonogh #32 and O Pery Walker High School. She loved music, especially Prince and the song Purple Rain was her favorite. Deborah enjoyed going shopping at Wal Mart and J. C. Penney and dressing up everyday and putting on her lipstick. Beloved mother of Shondrika (Chikeeta) and Gregory (Rosetta). Grandmother of Raiya, Kylan, Khali, Tre’juan, Treasja, and Makhi. Daughter of the late Alex Anderson, Jr., and Barbara R. Anderson. Granddaughter of the late Norman, Sr. and Thelma Reed, and Alexander and Nettie Anderson. Sister of Carol H. Cummings, Ingrid A. Haywood, Cornell Anderson, and the late Alex D. Anderson and Dornell Anderson. Aunt of Ervin, Jr., Brandon, Darrell, Cantrell, Cornell, Asia, Trichelle, Kayla and the late Danielle Anderson. Great aunt of Darrell, Leighton, Dylan, A’den, Caine, and Xylab. Deborah is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service at the above named parlor.
