David Landry, III, entered eternal rest at Veterans Administration Hospital on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the age of 77. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Harvey, LA. David was a graduate of Lincoln High School. He served his country in the United States Army, and received EIB Sharpshooter (Rifle), and NDSM SS (M-14) Expert Machine Gun Commendations. David was a retired self-employed landscaper and truck driver. Devoted father of Ruth Sylvester, Asia Anna Landry, Jeanine Jennings, and Adam David Landry. Grandfather of D'myra. Great grandfather of J'ri. Son of the late David Landry, Jr. and Mary Rose Williams Landry. Brother of Allen J. Williams, Sr., Rose W. Harris, and the late Patricia Ann Landry, Leroy Landry, and Larry Landry, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
