David “DJ Big Daddy” Jones entered peacefully into eternal rest at his residence on Monday, June 26, 2023, at the age of 61. He was a native of New Orleans, LA. David was a graduate of West Jefferson High School and employed as a carpet installer. Beloved son of  Elouise Jones. Father of Jeremy Simoneux, Johvon Benjamin, Trovoh Benjamin; daughters Ashley Coleman, Kenyada Thomas-Adams, and Aaliyah Farrow. Brother of Kevin Jones, Charles Jones III (Terry Jones), Earl Jones (Carol Fontenette), Marilyn Borroum-Ruddock, and Antonia Leo (Cyntes Leo). Fiancée of Christine McGhee (Billisha Caston, Brittany Caston, Daveon Ward); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8: 30a.m. until service time. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery Westwego, LA. Repast: Nola Event Hall 6101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072.
