DARLENE WHITE

Darlene White entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 16, 2023at the age of 76. She was a native of Hazlehurst, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Darlene was a retired daycare worker. She attended Southern University at New Orleans, LA. Beloved mother of Annette (Ralph) Washington, and Jannette White (Irvin). Daughter of the late Alexander White and Essie Green. Stepdaughter of the late Helen White and Charlie Green, Sr. Granddaughter of the late A. J. Williams, and Susie Mickel, Ike and Essie White. Sister of Alexander White, Troy White, Michael White, Earnest White, Carolyn Foster, Norma White, Susie White, and the late Charlie Green, Jr., Willie F. White, Janet Porter, Pam Thedford, Rosemary White, and Ellen Sanders. Sister in law of VanDyke Thedford. Cousin of the late Carlene Cole, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and  host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Albert Mickel officiating.
