DARLENE JOHNSON

Darlene “Big Eyes” Johnson entered into eternal rest at her residence surrounded by her family and friends on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 65. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Darlene was a retried housekeeper where she worked in the French Quarters for many years. She was feisty and loved spending time with her family. Her legacy of love, generosity, and resilience will live on through the many lives she touched. Beloved mother of Chantell Johnson and Laron Johnson (Khadijah). Grandmother of LeVell Johnson, Dajanell Johnson, Cedric Johnson, LaJon Jonhson, and Yusef Muhammad. Great granddaughter of Tilah Williams, Tynajah Williams, Calvin Williams, III, Da’Zani Johnson, and Ry’Lan Johnson. Daughter of the late Herbert and Willie Mae Williams. Sister of John Wayne Williams (Constance), Harold Williams, Perry James Jason, Rose Grady (Curly), Diane Williams, Cheryl Johnson, Karen Williams, Beverly Johnson, Angel Johnson, Sandra Johnson -Coleman (Dwayne) and the late Frank Johnson. Darlene is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
