DAMOND O'NEAL HESTER, SR

Damond O’neal Hester, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 31, 2021at the age of 51. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Damond was employed as a Supervisor with The Home Depot. Beloved husband Kere Williams Hester. Devoted father of Jardane, Damon, Jr., Davantai, Diamond, and Jamari Hester.Son of Dale Hester (Demertrius) Thomas, and the late Welmar “Chink” (Shirley) Garrison. Grandson of  Emelda Woods, and the late Frank Casby, Sr., Wilmer and Leotha Garrison. Brother of Edwin Keith (Tonya) Roussell, Jr., Yvette Garrison (Dennis) Stewart, Allison Garrison, and the late Aaron James Garrison. Uncle of the late JouJon “Jigga” Williams. Nephew of the late of Edward Hester, Robert “Polo” Hester, and Ronald Hester, Sr., also survived by 5 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mark Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Mark Baptist Church 1929 Huey P. Long Ave. Gretna, LA on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Joseph L. Hampton, Sr. officiating.
