DAMON LAMARR JOHNSON, SR

Damon Lamarr Johnson, Sr. entered eternal rest on Friday June 27, 2025, at the age of 52. He was a native of Detroit, MI and a resident of Portland OR. Damon was a graduate of Canyon Del Oro High School in Tucson AR Class of 1990, and he was employed as a musician. Devoted father of Hosea J. Evans and Damon L. Johnson, Jr. Beloved son of Walter Johnson, Sr. and Eva M. Johnson. Grandson of the late Sylvester Johnson Sr., Dottie S. Johnson, Willie Smith, and Amy C. Smith. Brother of Walter Johnson, Jr., and Teri Yvette Johnson Brisco, also survived by 2 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service at the parlor.
