Dale “Joe Diamond” Dyer, Sr. entered into eternal rest at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital on Tuesday April 6, 2021 at the age of 66. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Houston, TX. Dale was graduate of L. B. Landry High School and employed as a Contractor. He was a formerly employed with the City of New Orleans as a tree trimmer. Dale was a veteran of the United States Navy. Loving husband of Jacqueline Willis Dyer. Devoted father of Dale Dyer, Jr., Donald Dyer and the late Chyntrell Dyer. Stepfather of Niesha Willis, Will Willis (Rashaneka) and Jessica Willis (Tyrone). Son of Ruby Lee Dyer and the late Thomas Dyer. Brother of Sharon Ashford, Ivory Curtis, Jacqueline Crawford, Donald Johnson, and the late Walter Dyer, Tommie Dyer, Debra Dyer and Michael Hagan. Dale is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Bernard Community Baptist Church, Fischer Community Church, Franklin Avenue Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Ernest Weber, officiating  Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.  Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 10:00a.m. To view and sign the guestbook, please go to www.davismortuaryservice.com.
