CLYDE MCHENRY

Clyde McHenry entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the age of 67. He was a native and resident of Gretna, LA. Clyde was educated in the Jefferson Parish School System. He was a retired maintenance worker for Laquinta Inn for 30 years and a former employee of Hydrill for many years. Clyde enjoyed listening to music and playing the keyboard and guitar. Beloved son of the late Charity Pruitt Graves. Devoted grandson of the late Annie Mae Hunter Pruitt and Sylvester Pruitt Sr. Brother of Cornell Baker of Cleveland, OH. Loving nephew of Janice Jackson Pruitt and the late Sylvester Pruitt Jr. Devoted cousin of Derrick (Leslie) Pruitt, Sylanta (Troy) Pruitt Oliver, Carla Harvey of Apple Valley, CA, Trivon Oliver, Johnathan and Joshua Pruitt. Clyde is also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Thompson Temple COGIC, Shiloh Baptist Church of Gretna, and neighboring churches; employees of Laquinta Inn, are invited to attend a Graveside Service celebrating the life of Clyde McHenry at Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery, 9820 Nine Mile Point Rd W, Westwego, La on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:00a.m. Pastor Keith Thornton Sr., Officiating.
