MRS. CLEO WOODS JOHNSON

Mrs. Cleo Christy Woods Johnson, age 79, entered peacefully into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. She was a native of Donaldsonville, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Cleo was a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School, and she continued her studies at Southern University. She was a retired Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter Clerk III. Devoted mother of Lionell (Takeitha) Johnson II, Carl (Brigid) Johnson and Doran Johnson. Beloved daughter of the late Cleveland Woods and Mary Singleton. Granddaughter of the late Jimmie and Orelia Singleton. Loving sister of Jerone Singleton, Melvin Singleton, Grace Singleton, Samantha Singleton, Simone Henry, and the late Shelia Singleton, Cheryl Carter, Ronald Williams, Alvin Singleton, and Zachary Singleton. Former wife of Lionell D. Johnson, Sr. Cleo is also survived by 2 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Highway Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Second Highway Baptist Church, 1533 Haydel Drive Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Joseph H. Johnson, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
