CLAYTON LAMONT FRUGE'

March 23, 1979 — February 18, 2021

Clayton Lamont Fruge’ entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the age of 41. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a former resident of Avondale, LA, and presently residing in McKinney, TX since relocating after Hurricane Katrina. He was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School. Clayton was employed as a Safety Coordinator with Helix Energy Solutions. Clayton was an avid Saints fan, who enjoyed cooking, playing basketball with his sons, shooting pool, listening to music, and playing cards. Beloved husband of Baetrice Felton Fruge’. Loving father of Mohamed Jones, Jr, Ulis (Khiah) Jones, Calan and Jalen Fruge’. Devoted grandfather of Mohamed III, Michael, Nasir, and Kinsley Jones. Son of Barbara Carey Williams and the late Clayton Fruge’. Stepson of the late Charles S. Williams, Jr. Grandson of the late Dan And Eva Carey, Clifton and Melva Fruge’. Brother of Lazanda (Leonard) Valentine, Latonya (Corey) Robinson, Nicoel (Darrin) Robinson, LaDrier and Travis Williams. Uncle of Shonquell Thompson, Chyna Fruge’, Jade White, Delani Robinson, Briana, Robyn, Keion, Kiare, and Lyric Williams.  Great uncle of Eryn Williams and Carter Clark. Son -in -law of Elvera W. Felton and the late John Lee Felton. Brother-in-law of Brenna (Calvin) Collins, Brian Williams, and Barry (Tina) Williams. Godson of Suzanne King. Godfather of Caitlyn Collins, Marquis Fruge’, Adrian Lee, Jr. and Xaiden Brown. Clayton is also survived by his best friends, whom he loved as brothers, Adrien Lee, Brian Hanson, Stephfen McGill, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Progressive Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Helix Energy Solutions; members of Sons of Integrity are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at True Hope Ministries, 1228 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Laurie Sonnier, host pastor; Pastor Sterling Mealancon, officiating  Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
