CLARENCE EDWARD ALLEN

Clarence Edward “Meachie Man” Allen entered peacefully into eternal rest at his sister Katherine’s residence on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the age of 70. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Westwego, LA. Clarence was educated in the Jefferson Parish Public School System and employed as a maintenance laborer. Loving father of Clarence (LaKresha) Henry, Jerbym (Leeneka) Henry, and Nicole Henry. Son of the late James and Sylvia H. Allen. Devoted brother of John A. (the late Willie Mae) Allen, Ronald J. Allen, Katherine Allen (the late David) Webb, Margaret A. Allen (David) Boyd, Christine Davis, Manetha Hurst of Long Beach, CA, Gladys Sorrels, and the late Raymond Allen, Sr. Joyce Marie Allen, and Mary Louise Allen. Beloved companion of Linda Henry. Nephew of the late Samantha Gertley, Ollie Mae Daniels, Nannie Thomas, Eunice Barnes, Myles, Albert, Dave, Mingo, Elmo, and Nick Daniels. Clarence is also survived by 17 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Rev. John Session, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
