CHRISTIAN REGINA EXKANO SULLIVAN

December 17, 1986 — February 3, 2021

Christian Regina Walker Exkano Sullivan, age 34, departed this life at her residence on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Christian was a 2004 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy. She continued her studies at Dillard University, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology Pre-Med in 2009. While at Dillard she fulfilled an aspiration from age 11, and became proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Beta Gamma Chapter Spring 2007. Christian was a formerly employed with Crescent City Vision as an optician. Loving wife of Jerry Sullivan, Jr. Devoted mother of Jayden Uriel Sullivan, Aayden Alexander Sullivan, Carter Anthony Sullivan, and the late Chloe McKenzie Sullivan. Beloved daughter of Anitra D. Walker, Samuel Moore III (biological father), and Yon J. Exkano, Sr. (adopted father). Stepdaughter of Donnell M. Pittman.  Adored granddaughter of Regina Dumas Walker, Stella Russell, Samuel Moore, Jr., Joseph Exkano, Sr., Charles Jacobs, and the late Melvin F. Walker, Sr., Vercy Skinner Moore, and Virginia Pittman. Sister of Yon J. Exkano, Jr. and Samante Moore.  Niece of Melvin (Sharon) Walker, Jr. and Awayna Butler. Daughter-in-law of Sonia Barber and the late Jerry Sullivan, Sr. Granddaughter-in-law of the late Doris Rounds-Ross. Sister-in-law of Stephanie Barber (Rodwrick), James (Teresa) Barber, Monique Barber, Ariel (Matt) Robertson, and Anika (Terrance) Robinson. Godmother of Darian Butler, Mekhin Clavo, and Anyri Perkins; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend a Public Viewing at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 Walkertown Way Marrero, LA on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 8:30a.m.-9:30a.m. ONLY. Private Family 34 Shades of Blue Homegoing Celebration to follow at 10:00a.m. Pastor Thomas J. Brown, Jr., officiating. Repast will be held at High-Class Center 1217 Cohen St. Marrero LA. Please bring a Star Balloon for the Balloon Launch at 12:00 Noon.
