CHARLES MURPH, SR.

Charles Murph, Sr. entered eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 68. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Charles was a self-employed mechanic and carpenter. Loving father of Charles (Shantrell) Murph, Jr., Anika Lewis, and Nicholas Birtley. Grandfather of the late Branika Murph. Son of the late Arthur Lee Murph, Sr. and Patsy McNara Murph. Brother of Brooksie Flemings, Audrey Mae Shaw, Doris Murph, Joyce Bates, Shelia Patricia Murph, Arthur Lee Murph, Jr., Brian Murph, and the late Woodrow Thrones. Father in law of the late Curtis Thomas, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Leonard Bridges, II, officiating.
