CHARLES DENNIS, SR.

Charles “Kenny” Dennis, Sr. entered into eternal rest at his residence on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the age of 74. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Charles was co-founder of Dent Construction Company where he provided carpentry services throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area. “Dennis the Menace”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was formerly employed with Gretna Machines and Iron Works, Avondale Shipyard, and Jefferson Parish School Board. Dennis was known for his loyalty, laughter, and deep devotion to his family and friends. Devoted husband of Evelyn Louisa Green Dennis. Beloved father of Maria Faye Dennis, Charles Dennis, Jr., Steven Dennis, and Lance Savage. Son of the late Willie Dennis, Sr. and Virginia Lena Ellen White. Brother of Evan Dennis, Jo Ann Pryor, and the late Willie Dennis, Jr., Donald Dennis, Paul Watkins, and Joyce Watkins., also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Ernest Weber officiating.
