CATHERINE DORSEY JOHNSON

Catherine Dorsey Johnson, age 86, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the age of 86. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Catherine was a retired clerk from Sears and Roebuck. She was an elder at Restoration Fellowship Church.  Beloved wife Samuel H. Johnson, Sr. Devoted mother of Stephanie Johnson Cole, Samuel H. Johnson, Jr., Rosalyn Johnson Clark, Michael D. Johnson, and Darrell A. Johnson. Loving daughter of the late Viola H. Dorsey. Granddaughter of the late Nellie Hogans Williams. Sister of the late Melvin Dorsey, Ernestine Dorsey, Clarence Dorsey, and Viola (Wally) Hogans. Also cherishing her memories are 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members, of Restoration Fellowship Church, White Dove Fellowship, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at White Dove Fellowship, 3600 Manhattan Blvd. Harvey, LA on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
