Catherine Mitchell Franklin-Blazio

Catherine Mitchell Franklin-Blazio entered into eternal rest at her residence on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the age of 74. She was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Catherine attended Lincoln High School and was a retired employee of the Jefferson Parish Public School System Environmental Service Department. Beloved wife of the late Keith Blazio. Loving mother of Troy (Patricia) Simmons, Sr., Jamie Florant (Byron) Jackson, and the late Larry Simmons, and Wardell Simmons. Daughter of the late O’Neal Mitchell, and Augustine Chopin-Thompson. Sister of Ernest (Mary) Mitchell, Roland Noel, and the late Leroy Mitchell. Catherine is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
