CARY TROY MONROE

Cary Troy Monroe entered into his Father’s house of many mansions on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the age 59. He was a native and resident of Harvey, LA. Troy, as he was known to family and friends was educated in the Jefferson Parish Public School System and later returned to receive his GED. He was employed in many different capacities, which in included a loader for Parker Industries, a rigger for Diamond Corporation, and a forklift operator for State Blocks Inc., to just name a few. He was known as a “Jack of all Trades and Master of Many”. Devoted father of Shandrell (Jerome) Butler, Chandrell Johnson, and Kendrell Johnson. Loving grandfather of Carieal Johnson, Aniya Brown, Kenneth, Jamie, and Jerome Butler, Jr. Great grandfather of Bray Lynn and Bailee Winkles. Son of the late Ben Monroe, Sr., and Audrey Mae Anderson Lee. Grandson of the late Wilman and Mary Valentine Anderson. Brother of Isiah (Thelma) Anderson, Rene (Laurie) Anderson, Carleen Monroe, Ben (Charlotte) Monroe, Jr., Nina McGrew, Gina (Chauncey) Killebrew, and the late Cynthia Anderson. Great Nephew of Eva Valentine Daggs; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, 817 Grefer Ave. Harvey, LA on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Keith Paul Stewman, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
