Carolyn Oliver Tuggerson entered eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Jefferson Highway on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the age of 69. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Carolyn was formerly employed as a vault security, personal care attendant, cook, and custodian. Beloved mother of Vonshella Gibson and Russell Mason. Bonus mother of Charles Boutin. Grandmother of Darren (Shantrice) Gloster, Jr., Jerika W. Gibson, Alexus Mason, Mylan Mason, Tre’ Mason, and Wellington Grant, Jr. Great grandmother of Darren Gloster, III, Aaron Gloster, and Cayden Gloster. Daughter of the late Wilbert and Estelle Cloud Oliver. Sister of Larnette Keys, Brenda Quarles, Denise Hovis, Jerald Oliver, Frank Oliver, Ronald Oliver, Lydia Walker, Joy Lee, and the late Shelia Alexander, Marguerite Williams, and Tracey Oliver. Niece of Wilmer Cloud, Sr., Assaam Abdul Rahm, Willie Mae Atkinson, Betty Ateman, Debra Cloud, and the late Wilhelmina Davis and Edna O. Shelby. Mother in law of Tamika Mason and the late Jermiah Gibson. Sister in law of Elliott Allexander, Milissa Oliver, Celeste Oliver, John Walker, Cluster Lee, and the late Stanley Keys, Theodis Quarles, and Curtis Hovis. Former wife of Frankie Tuggerson, also survived by a special friend Clarence Raines, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
