CAROLYN WALKER BROWN

Carolyn Ann Brown, age 62, entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She was a native of Vicksburg, MS and a resident of Gretna, LA. Carolyn discovered her passion for helping others and caring for people, while a student at Southern University. This passion led her to leave Southern University and obtain her license as a Certified Nursing Assistance. She was employed at Belle Reve of New Orleans as a CNA until her retirement.  Beloved wife of Garry Brown, Sr. Devoted mother of April Bailey, Shantrial Walker, and Dr. Garry Brown, Jr. Daughter of the late Beatrice Walker. Loving sister Prentiss Walker, Albert Williams, Jimmetta Ventris Fernandez, Beatrice Spencer, and the late Matthew Walker, Percy Williams, and the late Precious Tribble. Aunt of the late Sterling Ventris, Gaylen Spencer, Jr., Leon Tribble, Jr., and Wanda Jean Tribble. Daughter-in-law of the late Joseph Brown, Sr. Sister-in-law of James Fernandez, Jr.  Also cherishing her memories are 5 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
