BRIAN ANTHONY RICKSON

Brian Anthony Rickson entered eternal rest on Sunday August 2, 2026, at the age of 67. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Brian was a graduate of Hahnville High School Class of 1976. “Fobb”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was employed as a welder. Brian enjoyed reading, watching the news, basketball, and football, and he was a proud Pittsburg Steelers fan. Beloved husband of 32 years to Joanette Rickson. Loving father of Lakiesha (Elliott) Roberts, Tyniesha Roberts, Toyelle Rickson, Le'Sean Moore, Johiqual (Vincent) Burras, Brian (Shquanda) Gatlin, Johnez (Charles) Burras, and Tevin (Ashley) Gatlin. Grandfather Isla Rickson, Antwuan Chatfield, Jr., Shania Roberts, Journee Tate, Jaylah, and Jacolby Burras, Jayion Howard, Elijah Tate, Marley, Tevin, Jr., Taniya Gatlin, Jakhylin Harris, and Decalvion Bond. Son of Calvin Rickson, Sr. and the late Jane Ruth Rickson Tate. Grandson of the late Samuel and Ida Friloux Clark, Hilton and Sedonia Rickson. Brother of Monica Rickson, Gregory Rickson, and the late Calvin Rickson, Jr. Godson of the late Nola Carter. Brian is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, offices, and members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 10867 River Rd. Ama, LA on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Rev. S. A. Nobles, Sr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.
