BRENDA CASBY REFUGE

Brenda Casby Refuge, age 67, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at her residence. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. Brenda was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Beloved companion of the late Albert Bryant. Loving mother of Albert Lee Refuge and Dwayne Troy Refuge. Daughter of the late Ernest Casimere, Sr. and Estelle Shirley Refuge. Granddaughter of the late Warren Refuge, Sr. and Estelle Blackedge Refuge. Sister of James Refuge, Leroy Refuge, Ernest Casimere, Jr., Ernestine Trotter, and the late Eugene Refuge, Jr. Linda Harrison, and Gwendolyn Casimere Burns. Brenda is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Paul Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1509 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Orin Grant, Sr., officiating.
