BRENDA JOYCE HOUSTON-JACKSON

Brenda Houston Jackson entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the age of 68.  She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Brenda was graduate of L. W. Higgins High School, and employed as a cook.  Beloved wife of the late Eddie Jackson. Devoted mother of Mark Houston, Trishawn Houston, Rechker Houston, Inika Houston, and the late Warren Houston. Daughter of the late Cleveland Houston and Mildred Vance. Granddaughter of the late Ruffus Gullage and Missy Houston. Sister of Debra Sparrow, and the late Robert Davis, Sammie Vance, Mary Scott, and Ledora White. Companion of Vernon Allen, also survived by 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  Relatives, friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Israel Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service Israel Baptist Church 1612 Esther St. Harvey, LA on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service begins.
