BOBBIE EDGARD FRANCIS, SR.

Bobbie E. Francis, Sr., age 79, ascended into heaven’s gates on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Harvey, LA. Bobbie was a graduate of L. B High School, and after graduation he enlisted in the United States Army. He was employed with Exxon Oil Company in Grand Isle, LA, as a part of the Production Platform Team, then transitioned to Avondale Shipyard. Bobbie was also formerly employed with Bollinger Shipyard and as an Uber and Lyft driver for several years. Bobbie enjoyed fishing with his family and friends and had a passion for bowling, belonging to several bowling teams throughout the years. Beloved husband of Betty London Francis. Devoted father of Bobbie Jr. (Alisha) and Patrick Robinson, Catherine Francis (Derek) Beloney, Dana (Mike) Avist, and Quana Francis. Stepfather of Calvin (Samantha) Rodrigue, Jr., Kalvilyn (Thomas) Griffin, Carlette Smith, and the late Melvilena Jefferson.  Loving grandfather of Earnest, Teshawn, Ca’Terra, Ashaad, Patrick, Jr., DaSean, Avery, and Miracle. Son of the late Adam C. Francis and Dorothy M. Francis. Brother of Olidia Thomas, Rev. Kelford (Andrea) Francis, Myron (Debora) Francis, and the late Doris Cooper, Zahlaine Kelly and Theralaine Francis. Stepbrother of Rudolph and Clifford Francis. Also cherishing his memory are 6 great grandchildren, and a host of step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00a.m.  Rev. Kelford Francis, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veteran Cemetery-Slidell, LA.
